Implementation of the Can Gio – Vung Tau Sea-Crossing Road Project

The Can Gio – Vung Tau Sea-Crossing Road Project starts at Bien Dong 2 Road, Can Gio Reclaimed Urban Area (Can Gio Commune, Ho Chi Minh City) and ends at the intersection of the planned Mai Sao – Ben Dinh Road and 30/4 Street, Tam Thang Ward (Vung Tau City). The project is developed by Vingroup under the PPP model, with a total investment of approximately 104 trillion VND (of which construction cost accounts for 58.642 trillion VND).

The project has a total length of approximately 14.67 km, including:

  • Sea-crossing bridge: nearly 11 km, with 4 motor vehicle lanes and 2 mixed-use lanes, designed for a speed of 60 km/h.
  • Approach roads: nearly 8 km, designed for a speed of 80 km/h.

Construction is expected to commence in 2026 (after the approval of feasibility reports), with operation targeted for 2029.
