Sun Group Promotes Aviation Cooperation with 15 U.S. Corporations

On September 12, 2025, Sun Group, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam, organized the U.S.–Vietnam Aviation Partnership Roundtable, attended by 15 U.S. corporations in the fields of aviation, technology, and finance.

At the event, Sun Group introduced Sun PhuQuoc Airways – Vietnam’s first airline designed around the leisure aviation model, with a “hub-and-spoke” network centered on Phu Quoc, connecting major cities domestically and internationally. In parallel, the group is also advancing plans to upgrade Phu Quoc International Airport to Category 4E, with a scale of 1,050 hectares.

U.S. corporations such as Amazon Web Services, Cisco, Collins Aerospace, Honeywell, GE Aerospace, and Gulfstream shared solutions in digital technologies, aviation security, fuel-efficient operations, and the adoption of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).

Mr. Dang Minh Truong, Chairman of Sun Group, emphasized that aviation is not merely a means of transport but a strategic infrastructure to elevate destinations, with the vision of building a comprehensive aviation ecosystem integrated with leisure tourism.

The event marked a significant step in fostering international cooperation, paving the way for Phu Quoc to become a new aviation and tourism hub in the region.
