Groundbreaking of the Phu My 2 Bridge Project in Ho Chi Minh City

The Phu My 2 Bridge Project connects Ho Chi Minh City with Dong Nai Province, running along the Nguyen Huu Tho (HCMC) – Lien Cang (Dong Nai) axis. The project is implemented under a Public–Private Partnership (PPP) model with a Build–Transfer (BT) contract, with Masterise Group as the investor and a total investment of approximately VND 23,200 billion (USD 860 million).

The project has a total length of about 6.3 km, featuring 8 lanes with a design speed of 80 km/h. Its structure includes the main bridge and approach roads on both ends, with sections of two-level elevated roadways to increase traffic capacity and minimize land clearance in urban areas. The bridge will create a new critical transport corridor, helping to relieve congestion on the existing Phu My Bridge and enhance connectivity between Ho Chi Minh City, Long Thanh International Airport, and Dong Nai Province.

The project officially broke ground on January 15, 2026, and is expected to commence operation in 2029.
