Groundbreaking of the Can Gio Bridge Project in Ho Chi Minh City

The Can Gio Bridge Project connects Nha Be District with Can Gio District in Ho Chi Minh City, crossing the Soai Rap River along the 15B – Rung Sac corridor. The project is developed under the Public–Private Partnership (PPP) model with a Build–Transfer (BT) contract, with Masterise Group as the investor and a total investment of VND 13,200 billion (approximately USD 488 million).

The project has a total length of approximately 6.3 km, including a nearly 3 km cable-stayed main bridge spanning the river and the approach roads. It is designed with a 6-lane cross-section and a design speed of 80 km/h. The project aims to replace the Binh Khanh ferry, improve regional connectivity, and drive socio-economic development in the southern coastal area of Ho Chi Minh City.

The project officially broke ground on January 15, 2026, and is expected to be put into operation in 2029.
