Groundbreaking of the Medical & Elderly Healthcare Complex Project in Hanoi

The Medical & Elderly Healthcare Complex Project is located in Hoang Mai Ward, Hanoi, and is developed by a consortium comprising Hanoi Medical University Hospital, Hanoi Housing Development and Investment Corporation (HANDICO), and NGS Equipment and Communications JSC, with a total investment of over VND 16,000 billion (USD 593 million).

The project was officially groundbreaking on January 17, 2026. The hospital and residential components are expected to be completed by the end of 2028, while the medical and training functional zone is scheduled for completion in 2030.

The project aims to develop an integrated ecosystem of healthcare – education – research – and elderly care, and is divided into two sub-zones:

  • Sub-zone 1 – Medical & Training Complex (Lot D1): Developed on a 15-hectare site, featuring a 2,600-bed hospital along with medical training and research facilities.
  • Sub-zone 2 – Elderly Housing Area (Lot B3): Developed on a 7-hectare site, comprising two towers of 35 above-ground floors and 3 basement levels, providing 1,100 purpose-built apartments for senior residents.
