The An Khanh – Bac Giang Thermal Power Plant Project is located in Vu Xa Hamlet, Cam Ly Commune, Bac Ninh Province, and is developed by An Khanh – Bac Giang Thermal Power Joint Stock Company, with a total investment of nearly VND 30 trillion (more than USD 1 billion).

The project is developed on a site of more than 66.4 hectares, with an installed capacity of 650 MW, comprising the main thermal power plant facilities and supporting infrastructure. Once operational, the plant is expected to supply approximately 3.9 billion kWh of electricity annually to the northern power system and the national grid, helping meet growing electricity demand and strengthen power supply capacity.

The project officially broke ground on August 12, 2026, and is expected to be completed and commence commercial operation in June 2029.
