Vietjet Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Center Project at Long Thanh
On August 19, 2025, Vietjet officially broke ground on its Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Center at Long Thanh International Airport, Dong Nai Province. The project is one of 80 key developments celebrating Vietnam’s National Day on September 2.
Designed as a modern MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facility, the center will serve Vietjet as well as other airlines, with the aim of strengthening self-sufficiency in aircraft maintenance and enhancing Vietnam’s aviation infrastructure capacity. The project covers an area of approximately 8.4 hectares, with a total investment of nearly USD 100 million (around VND 1,700 billion). Its key components include Hangars 3 and 4, which are designed to accommodate the simultaneous maintenance of up to 10 aircraft, including both wide-body (Code E) and narrow-body (Code C) jets.
Phase 1 of the project is expected to be completed by June 2026, in alignment with the opening timeline of Long Thanh International Airport.
