Hoan Kiem Lake East Square Project

The Hoan Kiem Lake East Square project covers a planned area of approximately 2.14 hectares (21,400 m²), with the aim of creating a distinctive public space and park that highlights the historical and cultural identity of the capital. It will serve as a venue for artistic performances, exhibitions, and both national and international events.

The project envisions three underground levels with functions including parking facilities, cultural and commercial spaces, and a direct connection to Station C9 of Metro Line 2.

  • Phase 1: Completion of the above-ground components (square and open park).
  • Phase 2: Land clearance and compensation, surveying of architectural relics requiring preservation, followed by underground construction and overall completion.

(The “Shark Fin Building” at 7 Dinh Tien Hoang Street has been scheduled for demolition before April 30, 2025, to make way for the project).
