Commencement of the Hanoi – Quang Ninh High-Speed Railway Project in Quang Ninh Province

The Hanoi – Quang Ninh High-Speed Railway Project is located along the corridor connecting Hanoi – Bac Ninh – Hai Phong – Quang Ninh, developed by VinSpeed High-Speed Railway Investment and Development JSC as the Investor, with a total investment of approximately VND 147,370 billion (USD 5.6 billion).

The project is implemented on a land area of approximately 551 hectares, featuring a 120 km high-speed railway line, designed as a double-track, 1,435 mm gauge, electrified system, with a maximum design speed of 350 km/h (120 km/h within Hanoi). The line includes 5 stations: Co Loa, Gia Binh, Ninh Xa, Yen Tu, and Ha Long Xanh, along with one depot at Ha Long Xanh station, providing high-speed passenger transport capacity.

The project was commenced on April 12, 2026, at Ha Long Xanh Station (Tuan Chau and Viet Hung wards, Quang Ninh Province), and is expected to be completed by 2028.
