Con Dao National Park receives another designation from IUCN

Côn Đảo National Park has been awarded the “Green List” designation by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), recognizing it as a protected area that is effectively and sustainably managed.

The park encompasses nearly 2,000 hectares of coral reefs, forming part of its rich and diverse marine ecosystem.

This achievement makes Côn Đảo National Park Vietnam’s second national park and third conservation area to receive the “Green List” status, following Vân Long Wetland Nature Reserve in Ninh Bình Province and Cát Tiên National Park in Đồng Nai Province.

The recognition highlights Vietnam’s ongoing commitment and success in nature management and biodiversity conservation, particularly in one of the country’s most distinctive ecological regions.
