SEI Optifrontier Vietnam Plant No. 2 is located at Lot B-12, Thang Long Vinh Phuc Industrial Park, Phu Tho Province, and is developed by Sei Optifrontier Vietnam Co., Ltd. (SEOV), a subsidiary of Sumitomo Electric Industries (Japan). The project will increase the company’s total investment in Vietnam to approximately USD 110.7 million.

The project is being developed on a 22,000-square-metre site with a designed production capacity of 5 million products per year. The plant will manufacture optical fibers, fiber optic connector cables, and other high-tech optical products serving the telecommunications, data center, and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure sectors.

The project officially broke ground on July 21, 2026, and is scheduled for completion and commencement of operations in April 2028.
