Groundbreaking of the AMACCAO – Thanh Cong Waste-to-Energy Plant Project in Hanoi

The AMACCAO – Thanh Cong Waste-to-Energy Plant Project is located at the Xuan Son Solid Waste Treatment Complex, Tung Thien Ward, Hanoi, and is being developed by AMACCAO – Thanh Cong Renewable Energy Joint Stock Company (a member of AMACCAO Group) as the Project Developer, with a total investment of approximately VND 3 trillion (equivalent to approximately USD 115 million).

The project is being developed on a 3.86-hectare site, with a municipal solid waste treatment capacity of 1,000 tons per day and a power generation capacity of 20 MW. The plant will utilize Martin waste-to-energy technology from Germany and is designed to comply with EU 2010/75/EU emission standards, while integrating an online environmental monitoring system connected directly to state regulatory authorities.

The project was officially groundbroken on June 5, 2026, and the expected completion date has not yet been publicly announced.
