Groundbreaking of the Ben Tre Waste-to-Energy Plant Project in Vinh Long Province
The Ben Tre Waste-to-Energy Plant Project is located in Phu Tan Ward, Vinh Long Province, and is being developed by Ben Tre Waste Treatment Joint Stock Company (a member of AMACCAO Group) as the Project Developer, with a total investment of approximately VND 1.919 trillion (equivalent to approximately USD 74 million).
The project is being developed on a 4.2-hectare site, with a municipal solid waste treatment capacity of 650 tons per day and a power generation capacity of 13 MW. The plant will utilize Martin waste-to-energy technology from Germany and is designed to comply with EU 2010/75/EU emission standards, while being equipped with an automated environmental monitoring system.
The project was officially groundbroken on June 5, 2026, while the expected completion date has not yet been publicly announced.
