Groundbreaking of the Can Gio Bridge Project in Ho Chi Minh City

The Can Gio Bridge Project is located within Nha Be Commune and Binh Khanh Commune, Ho Chi Minh City. The project is invested in by Masterise Group under a Public–Private Partnership (PPP) model, with a total investment of approximately VND 13.2 trillion (around USD 507 million).

The project consists of a 6.3-kilometer cable-stayed bridge spanning the Soai Rap River, featuring six traffic lanes, together with approach roads and supporting transportation infrastructure. Upon completion, the bridge will replace the existing Binh Khanh Ferry, significantly enhancing connectivity between central Ho Chi Minh City and Can Gio District, while establishing a strategic coastal transportation corridor for the city.

Construction officially commenced on June 3, 2026. The bridge is expected to achieve structural closure by late 2028 and be completed and opened to traffic by mid-2029.
