The Nghe An Waste-to-Energy Plant Project is located at the Nghi Yen Solid Waste Treatment Complex, Hai Loc Commune, Nghe An Province, and is developed by Galax Joint Stock Company, with a total investment of VND 4.056 trillion (approximately USD 159 million).
The project is being developed on a site of nearly 7.2 hectares, with a waste treatment capacity of 1,500 tons per day and an electricity generation capacity of 30 MW. It is introduced as the largest waste-to-energy plant in Central Vietnam and one of the large-scale waste-to-energy plants in Vietnam, contributing to solid waste treatment and electricity generation from waste.
The project broke ground on August 19, 2026. Phase 1 is expected to be completed and put into operation in Q4 2028, while Phase 2 is expected to be completed in Q4 2030.
