Groundbreaking of the Núi Thoong High-Tech Environmental Treatment and Power Generation Plant in Hanoi
The Núi Thoong High-Tech Environmental Treatment and Power Generation Plant is located in Xuan Mai Commune, Hanoi City, developed by the Xuan Mai Urban Environment Company in collaboration with Cam Thach Xanh Joint Stock Company (GMC) as the investors, with a total investment of approximately VND 5,250.8 billion.
The project is implemented on a land area of over 103,138 m², with a waste treatment capacity of approximately 2,000 tons of waste per day and a power generation capacity of around 45 MW, connected to the national grid. This is the first high-tech waste-to-energy plant in the Southwest area of Hanoi, contributing to the completion of the capital’s “high-tech waste treatment triangle”, including the North, Northwest, and Southwest regions.
The project officially broke ground on 19 May 2026, is expected to be completed and undergo trial operation in Q3 2027, and will begin commercial operation in Q4 2027.
