Groundbreaking of the Quy Nhon – Pleiku Expressway Project

The Quy Nhon – Pleiku Expressway Project connects An Nhon Ward, Binh Dinh Province (Km1+850) to Hoi Phu Ward, Pleiku City, Gia Lai Province (Km124+500), with a total investment of VND 43,734 billion (approximately USD 1.6 billion). The project is divided into three component sub-projects.

The expressway has a total length of approximately 125 km, including 40 km in Binh Dinh Province and 85 km in Gia Lai Province. It is designed with four lanes (including emergency stopping lanes), a design speed of 100 km/h, and includes three mountain tunnels: An Khe Tunnel 1 (1,170 m), An Khe Tunnel 2 (860 m), and Mang Yang Tunnel (3,000 m). The entire project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in 2029.

Component Project No. 3, with a length of 35 km and a total investment of VND 9,169 billion, is invested in by the Gia Lai Province Construction Investment Project Management Board. This sub-project broke ground on December 19, 2025 and represents the final section of the Quy Nhon – Pleiku Expressway, playing a key role in connecting the Central Highlands with national and international transport corridors.
