The BYD Battery Manufacturing Plant Project is located at the Kim Long Motor Hue Automobile Manufacturing and Assembly Industrial Park, Hue City. The project is invested by Kim Long Motor Hue Joint Stock Company, in technology cooperation with BYD Battery (China), with a total investment of approximately VND 3,200 billion (USD 130 million).

The project is implemented in two phases. Phase 1 is developed on a land area of approximately 4.4 hectares, while Phase 2 will be expanded on an additional area of around 10 hectares. The project comprises battery production workshops, administration buildings, warehouses, and auxiliary facilities, providing a battery manufacturing plant for electric vehicles.

The project broke ground on January 27, 2026, with Phase 1 expected to be put into operation during 2026–2027, and Phase 2 to be expanded and completed in subsequent years.
