The Underground Road Project passing through the Da Nang International Airport area is located within the Da Nang International Airport and surrounding traffic corridors, with the Da Nang People’s Committee acting as the managing authority. The project has an estimated total investment of approximately VND 10,000 billion (around USD 380 million).

The project is planned along an underground transport infrastructure corridor with a total length of approximately 2.9 km. Its scale includes an underground traffic tunnel running beneath the airport runway, combined with cut-and-cover sections and box tunnels, designed to accommodate 2 to 4 traffic lanes, with a total construction area for the tunnel and auxiliary works of more than 330,000 m².

The project is currently in the pre-feasibility study preparation stage and will be implemented after completion of the approval procedures.
