The VinMetal Steel Plant project is located in the Vũng Áng Economic Zone, Hà Tĩnh, and is developed by Vingroup with a total investment of approximately VND 10,000 billion (USD 380 million).

The project is developed on a land plot for producing Hot Rolled Steel (HRC); high-strength and specialty alloy steel; steel sheets; stamped steel for VinFast vehicle bodies; and structural steel products such as bridge steel, railway rails, and structural steel for bridges and ports, with an estimated Phase 1 capacity of around 5 million tons of steel per year.

The project will commence construction on December 19, 2025 and Phase 1 is expected to be completed in 2027.
