Vi Ro Ngheo Tourist Village, Mang Den Commune, Quang Ngai Province
Amidst the vast mountains and forests of Mang Den, Vi Ro Ngheo Tourist Village is known as a “healing paradise,” standing out with its vibrant flowers, peaceful atmosphere, and the distinctive culture of the Xo Dang ethnic people.
Located along the Dak Snghe River and near the Thuong Kon Tum hydropower reservoir, the village is surrounded by pine forests and majestic mountains. From the top of Ngoc Ruong Mountain, Vi Ro Ngheo appears like a tranquil painting, with small rustic houses, lush green fields, and gentle streams murmuring through the valley. Known as an “ultra-clean village,” it is adorned year-round with colorful flowers such as rhododendrons, melastoma, and orchids. The destination attracts visitors seeking relaxation, serenity, and a slower pace of life in harmony with nature.
Visitors can enjoy traditional local cuisine such as com lam (bamboo-tube rice), ruou can (fermented rice wine), stream fish, forest vegetables, and grilled frog in bamboo tubes. They can also experience the daily life of the Xo Dang people—farming, forest foraging, herding buffalo, fishing, and participating in traditional cultural activities.
Since May 2023, Vi Ro Ngheo has officially operated as a community-based tourism village, attracting thousands of domestic and international visitors. The locals have transitioned from farming to tourism, utilizing the natural beauty and cultural heritage of their homeland to improve income and living conditions.
Each season offers its own charm, but spring is considered the most stunning time to visit—when cherry blossoms and orchids bloom simultaneously, transforming Vi Ro Ngheo into a breathtaking floral landscape amid the Mang Den highlands.
