Vietnam’s tourism industry has earned two of the world’s most prestigious honors at the “Readers’ Choice Awards 2025” organized by Condé Nast Traveller (USA) — being recognized as both one of the “Most Attractive Destinations in the World” and “Friendliest Destinations in the World.”

Vietnam ranked 6th globally for friendliness with a score of 97.27, and 9th for attractiveness with 94.29 points, placing the country among the Top 10 most beloved destinations worldwide.

Condé Nast Traveller praised Vietnam for its diverse natural landscapes — from endless rice fields and ancient towns to mesmerizing emerald bays — as well as for its warm, welcoming people who are always eager to share their homeland’s beauty with visitors. The magazine also highlighted Vietnam’s strong sense of community, reflected in its simple yet connected way of life, from bustling cities to peaceful rural villages.

In particular, a journey to Ha Giang (now part of Tuyen Quang Province) was described as a must-have experience — where travelers not only marvel at the breathtaking mountain scenery but also feel the genuine warmth and deep hospitality of the local people.
