13 Vietnamese Hotels Earn Michelin Key Recognition for the First Time

On October 8, 2025, the Michelin Guide officially announced its global hotel ranking list (Michelin Key), honoring 13 hotels and resorts in Vietnam — marking the first time Vietnam has been featured in this system. The Michelin Key, regarded as the “Michelin Star of the hospitality industry,” celebrates excellence in hospitality and guest experience.

Among them, Capella Hanoi and Amanoi (Khanh Hoa) received the prestigious Three Michelin Keys, the highest distinction awarded to properties that offer “an exceptional stay experience.”
Three resorts — Four Seasons The Nam Hai (Da Nang), Banyan Tree Lang Co (Hue), and Zannier Bai San Ho (Dak Lak) — were recognized with Two Michelin Keys, representing “an excellent stay experience.”
Eight hotels earned One Michelin Key, including Azerai Ke Ga Bay, Legacy Mekong, Six Senses Con Dao, Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, Park Hyatt Saigon, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, Regent Phu Quoc, and Hotel de la Coupole – MGallery.

The Michelin Key evaluation is based on five key criteria:

  1. The hotel as a gateway to discovering its destination,
  2. Excellence in interior design and architecture,
  3. Quality, consistency, and comfort of service and maintenance,
  4. Harmony between the experience and its value, and
  5. A distinctive identity that reflects authenticity and character.

Vietnam’s inclusion in the Michelin Key list marks a significant milestone, affirming the country’s growing presence in global luxury tourism, while inspiring a new wave of quality competition in the hospitality sector.
