Groundbreaking of the Hoi Bai – Phuoc Tan Road Upgrading and Expansion Project (DT992)

The Hoi Bai – Phuoc Tan Road Upgrading and Expansion Project (DT992) runs through Tan Hai Ward and Chau Pha Commune, Phu My Town, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province. This is a key arterial route connecting National Highway 51 with the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway. The project is invested by the Regional and Specialized Transport Project Management Board for Agriculture under Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, with a total investment of VND 3,690 billion (USD 136 million).

The project has a total length of approximately 8.8 km, with the cross-section width upgraded from 16 m to 72 m, comprising four automobile lanes and two mixed-use lanes, and a design speed of 80 km/h.

The project broke ground on December 19, 2025, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
