The 5th Regional Conference of the Organization of World Heritage Cities – Asia-Pacific (OWHC-AP), themed “Quality of Life and Sustainable Development of World Heritage Cities,” is scheduled to take place over three days, from October 14 to 16, 2025. The conference will feature sessions for Mayors and Experts, as well as thematic seminars.

In addition to the main sessions, the event will include a variety of activities such as cultural heritage tours, an educational competition in the format of “Ring the Golden Bell,” and an exhibition showcasing World Heritage Cities in the Asia-Pacific region.

The conference aims to enhance and expand cooperation among World Heritage Cities in the Asia-Pacific region. It also serves as a platform for sharing knowledge, policies, and strategies on heritage conservation and urban management through specialized sessions and case study presentations.

Moreover, the event contributes to the global dialogue on sustainable development of World Heritage Cities, while also promoting the image, culture, and heritage of Hue to international friends — affirming Hue’s role and position within the global network of World Heritage Cities.
